SECURITY

Casement windows are fitted with espagnolette locking handles, while box sash windows have lockable fitch fasteners.

All windows can be locked closed and in semi open positions.

WEIGHTING OF BOX SASH WINDOWS

Woodland sashes are counterbalanced in the traditional manner with cast lead weights, cords and pulleys a proven, reliable system confirmed by our experience over many years.

Where fitting precludes the use of traditional weights and pulleys, spiral counterbalances are used. The spiral counterbalance enables the traditional look of the box sash window to be installed in modern buildings.

Doors are fitted with multi-point espagnolette locking mechanisms with deadlocks to Association of British Insurers standards.

WEATHER SEALING

Through experience and applied thinking, Woodland has developed a highly effective method of weather sealing on all our products.

Our box sash windows incorporate vertical brush draught excluders to the concealed edges of the sashes, and horizontal weather sealing to the top, middle and bottom of our traditional window designs.

Draughts are thus avoided and a quiet and smooth sliding movement is achieved - a decided improvement on most original designs.

Extremely high insulation (I. I W/m2K) glazed units minimize heat loss and down draughts excluded. Multi-layer timber and very careful attention to detail, minimize the swelling and warping that causes jamming on windows of lesser quality during wet weather.
